Codecs, explained
Every wireless pair negotiates a codec: the scheme that compresses audio for the radio hop. SBC is the universal floor. AAC is efficient on Apple devices. aptX trades a little more bandwidth for lower latency. LDAC pushes up to 990kbps for near-lossless detail when the link is clean.
The catch is the link. LDAC on a crowded train falls back hard; aptX holds steadier. We ship both on Halo One so you can pick detail or stability by context.
